Chairman - Richard Parry Jones
Richard was appointed non-executive chairman at DeepStream in November 2005 and represents our drive for strong leadership in directing our company towards excellence in quality and manufacturing.
World renowned as a business and industry leader, Richard is the ex Ford Motor Company group vice-president, who was in charge of global product development, and was the company's chief technical officer.
As CTO, he was responsible to the company’s board of directors on all technical matters, heading Ford's technical staff of some 30,000 engineers for all brands including Ford, Lincoln, Jaguar, Volvo and Land Rover.
Chief Executive Officer - Mark Crosier
Mark is founder and chief executive officer of DeepStream Technologies. He has more than 20 years experience in the design-to-cost and development of high volume products for industrial and consumer markets.
Mark is an inventor with 5 patents published, one of which has provided over £24million in gross margin to a previous employer. He is a goal oriented entrepreneur and technology problem solver.
Before a product was actually developed and only three months after funding, DeepStream had been awarded several development and supply contracts from major European corporations valued at more than €20M.
Mark was named as a 2007 Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum in Davos.
Chief Financial Officer - Andrew Katsouris
Appointed in July 2004, Andrew has had exposure of venture capital-backed companies and global manufacturing organisations such as Royal Doulton.
Andrew started his career at Coopers and Lybrand before moving to Royal Doulton in 1996 as product division financial controller. His responsibilities included analytical review and consolidation of the division’s results and strategic development plans.
He then moved on to become group operational review manager gaining international experience in countries such as Indonesia and Australia. Prior to DeepStream his previous role was as Group Finance Director for ACE Group plc.
At DeepStream Andrew is responsible for all financial and administrative areas including IT, HR and purchasing and he is a chartered accountant, having qualified from ICAEW.
Non-Executive Director – Nigel Grierson
Nigel co-founded Doughty Hanson Technology Ventures in 2000. Before this he was group director for Intel Capital Europe, responsible for strategic equity investments, acquisitions and developing new business opportunities throughout Europe.
Nigel and the team originated and invested in over 30 technology companies, including Baltimore Technologies, Bookham Technology and Brokat Infosystems.
Prior to his appointment as group director at Intel Capital, Nigel was divisional director for Intel's Internet and Network Product Group, heading a pan-European team responsible for sales, marketing and product development. During his 15-year career with Intel, he was also European marketing director, European business support manager and systems engineering manager.
Nigel graduated with qualifications in telecommunications engineering and gained a further diploma in electrical engineering from Bristol. He is also an alumnus of INSEAD.
Non-Executive Director - George Powlick
Prior to co-founding Doughty Hanson Technology Ventures in 2000, George was head of the Strategic Investments and Acquisitions Group for Intel Corporation in Europe, responsible for strategic equity investments.
Prior to this, George was senior manager, strategic investments and acquisitions for Intel in Silicon Valley. During that time, he was responsible for investments in more than 30 U.S.-based technology companies.
George has also held various engineering and management positions in the Operations Group of Altera Corporation, a California-based developer of programmable logic semiconductor devices.
George holds an MBA from The Anderson School at UCLA and a BS in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
Non-Executive Director - Stephen Lowery
Stephen joined 3i in 2001, specialising in investments in technology businesses. Before joining 3i, he worked in the Global Technology Practice of PA Consulting, advising companies on product development, process development and technology strategy.
Stephen is focused on investments in IT hardware, specifically consumer electronics, semiconductors and displays and advanced materials. His investments include UbiNetics and Microemissive Display. He also works with 3i's investments in Respond and Artisan software tools.
Stephen has a MEng degree in Engineering from the University of Cambridge
Non-Executive Director - Glen Allmendinger
Glen was appointed in November 2007 and is founder and president of Harbor Research Inc. He is a world renowned industry thought leader and a pioneer of the concept of the ‘Pervasive Internet’.
He is also an originator of growth and smart service strategies for large global tier one manufacturers in the Building and Industrial Automation and Telecommunications market sectors.
Glen will support the board at DeepStream as it continues to develop and expand its business worldwide, with particular focus on the United States.
Glen received his BA from New York University, and completed his graduate studies at M.I.T Center for Advanced Media Studies (forerunner of the Media Lab). He is a member of IEEE, SME, ISA, and the ASME, and has worked closely with several industry trade associations.
